Apple recently announced that they are going to start scanning for CSAM on iPhones locally. Currently it has been reported that they may have been doing this on their servers "in the cloud" but with the move down to the local phone - people have started to get concerned about intrusion. It has been alleged by various people that this new CSAM scanning will invade their privacy and get them flagged as having inappropriate material if they have pictures of their children on the phone and they happen to not be fully clothed. Like all fake news in the world today - it has little representation to the actual truth - but has just enough reality in it to make people believe it while stirring up their fears.
